Most importantly, when the lantern starts to lose power, you can easily recharge the battery via a 120-volt AC outlet or a vehicle's 12-volt DC power port (cords included). That means you can recharge the lantern before leaving on a trip, or you can recharge it at the campsite using your car's lighter port. Other details include an "emergency on" circuit that helps overcome power failures, a built-in nightlight, and a recyclable battery.
