I couldn't believe how hard it was to find something so necessary in today's world where we are all trying to recycle! I had been using large boxes just sitting on my kitchen floor and always worried about attracting mice into my kitchen. I could find nothing with a hinged lid like these at Lowes or Home Depot and the salespeople had no idea! YOu also can't beat the FREE Shipping. Plus, these are so big, I gave one to my daughter to take to college 'cause 2 were large enough!

I was looking for large covered recycling bins, and the fact that these stack was a plus. I wanted something the cats wouldn't get into in the basement, and that paper wouldn't go flying out of on the way to the recycling center. These are good bins, but arn't perfect.
-They are a bit wobbly. They don't tip over, but I would like them a bit more secure.
-The caps don't snap on tight. So when I'm shoving containers in there because it's not dump day yet, the cap pops right off.
-The colors are too bright. I would have liked something that didn't stand out so much! Might be nice for kids, but your eyes are drawn right to these.
-Flaps don't always stay up. Sometimes I'll have to try 2 or three times to get one to stay. Bummer when you are sorting a lot of stuff.

Well made. Easy to use and stack. Saves space and keeps the recycling area tidy.
Makes taking recyclables to the center easier, too, as everything is already separated.
I lable the bins with permanent marker on wide shipping tape.

I purchased this recycle bin kit 2 months ago. Delivery was timely...but the flaps on 2 of the bins won't stay up, they just fall down. When carrying the bins out to my car, they dig into my hands. Feels like a cheaper plastic compared to the rubbermaid bins I've hauled around during my moves. Overall, the bins get the job done, but I'm a little disappointed after reading the great reviews.

We bought these for our vacation home and they are perfect. We keep them out on the deck and since the colors are appealing -they are fine there. Go for it! Not worth the hassle of shopping around. I almost bought clear ones but glad I didn't. I realized when I got these, who wants to see what's inside.:O)
